ABOUT US

Since the 18th century

The Salort Palace in 1600 extended towards Palau Street from the arch, which marks the location of that original house at the entrance of the street.
Later, the building expanded along Major Street, towards Plaza del Born.
The house in its current form dates from 1813, built by order of Don Pedro Martorell y Olives.

Its façade is purely Neoclassical in style, with precise and controlled composition, very similar to the lateral façade of the Barcelona Stock Exchange built in 1772; the Renaissance-style arcades facing Plaza del Born are slender and elegantly crafted.

The building currently belongs to the Count of Torre-Saura.
