SPACIOUS AND BRIGHT

Hall of Mirrors or French Salon

This room that lead us to the galery overlooking the Borne square takes its name from the twelve Luis XVI little mirrors. In front of each one there are a couple of candles to give more light to the space.

The chest of drawers on both sides of the room belong to Luis XV and XVI styles and the big mirrors to Luis XVI’. The little seats and the setees are from luis XV style, all of them are upholstered with gold, tissue and net.

CLEAR AND SPACIOUS

Kitchen

We are possibly in one of the largest kitchens in Menorca, always referring to the conjunction of the period in which this palace was built, being able to observe the wood-fired kitchen and the coal-fired kitchen.

COZY AND HISTORICAL

Chimney chambre

This salon is dedicated to portraits. Here we can observe the ancestors of the current family who own the palace, including a portrait of Don Pedro Martorell y de Olives, who commissioned the construction of the present palace, as well as a small portrait of Admiral Farragut, a figure closely connected to the island of Menorca. Towards the back on the right, we can also see a photograph of the current owner of the palace, Don Carlos de Salort Sintes, Count of Torre Saura.

The ceiling painting represents Victory; the chairs and canapé, made of mahogany wood, are in the Isabeline style and upholstered in red damask.

OF GREAT VALUE

Ceramics

In it we find different utensils such as scales, coffee grinders, chocolate makers and a pastry pan further back, which, as its name indicates, has the function of grazing or kneading bread and its different moulds.

The kitchen is beautifully decorated with lovely tiles.
